The Dead Ship by Marina Lee Sable Cables stretch in the blackness that cloaks a starship tracking the curved line of space. The dark hole of an accident punctuates a silver streak of moonlight -- black socket littered with the debris of a mistake. In the shadow of a moon's terminator, no communication exists between the living and the dead, no reincarnation materializes from old bones. Yet still the static leaks from an untuned radio under the nebulous spine of night.
