    We cling to our brothers and sisters,
    the rocks, the waves, the trees, whisper
    Earth is our mother, Earth is our mother,
    bite, kick, uproot old whispers that shout

    none are born here, we are deluded,
    wayward children of the sky
    lowered here in lieu of worse,
    for daring -- that's the rub:

    To grease our torment, clouds
    deny us memory of our crime;
    our doom, to dream a briar's mist of evils.
